On the way to school: India

In Thinking Skills we watched a documentary called "On The Way To School" that showed what some kids from all over the world had to go through to get to school. Based on this documentary we made a presentation showing the conditions of education in one of these countries and discussed the quotes "In some regions of the world, the road to school is an obstacle course, and knowledge, a quest", "Knowledge is only adquired at school" and "Each and every morning, sometimes in utter defiance of danger, some heroic children get on the road to knowledge."

Frozen review

I watched Disney's movie "Frozen" last year. Set in the fictional kingdom of Arendelle, the film tells the story of sisters Anna and Elsa. When Elsa's icy powers trap the kingdom in eternal winter, Anna teams up with a talking snowman called Olaf, a mountainman called Kristoff, and his loyal reindeer Sven, to find her. The most important aspects of the film were the script and plot, the visually attractive landscapes and the quality of the music.
To begin with, the script seemed rather conventional even if the plot was engaging. Not every line and scene felt essential to the story. In regards to the dialogue, it was mostly absurd although it has some sections that were witty. On the other hand, the overall story was interesting. The relationship between the characters was genuine and true to life. It had a touching message about family since it made a profound reflection on the importance of sisterhood.
The sets and songs were a particular strength of the film. It's winter landscape was stunning, with deep blue ice, lovely snowflakes ad striking snow-covered mountains. The costumes and backdrops were gorgeous and well thought out. As for the songs, they were for the most part quite excellent. They were like every other disney song, they will be stuck in your mind for days. They helped progress the story and were essential to the plot, with very few exceptions.
To conlcude, even if the movie is mostly aimed at kids and preteens, I would recommend it to everyone since you will most definitely have a good time.
