For my expert grandmother
You told me stories so many times,
I started to feel part of them.
You take a smile from me,
Even if I don´t deserve it.
I will always remember,
every time you held me up high.
You are my lighthouse in life,
I see you and know where to go.
I must admit you just cook as a chef,
¿Have you noticed?
Although we don't see each other so often,
I look foward to it every time.
I will always remember,
every time you held me up high.
You are my lighthouse in life,
I see you and know where to go.
I must admit you just cook as a chef,
¿Have you noticed?
Although we don't see each other so often,
I look foward to it every time.

Rhethorical question
Very sweet and expressive. Good choice of literary devices, it´s refreshing to find a rhetorical question. Remember that in English we only use question marks at the end, though. The fact that you address to her all along the poem also makes it more vivid. It´s like reading a letter.
